Dear Virginia Friend:

You are in the national spotlight.

Conservatives across America are looking to Virginia voters this year to help rescue our country from radicals like Barack Obama, by demonstrating that voters have come to their senses. We look to you for strong conservative leaders to oppose and reverse the stranglehold which far-left ideologues now have on our federal government and far too many of our states.

A desperately needed return to the principles of liberty, free enterprise and national sovereignty as set out in the U.S. Constitution can begin in your Commonwealth of Virginia.

As one of only two states holding statewide elections this fall, Virginia is in the best position in years to ignite a national rebellion against devastating tax rates, irresponsible debt and spending, and radical social changes. What you do can begin to restore the principles of liberty and limited government which our forefathers established.

You have nominated a superb team of candidates for Governor, Lt. Governor and Attorney General. Bob McDonnell, Bill Bolling, and Ken Cuccinelli deserve your most enthusiastic support.

They are leading in the polls at this point and running effective campaigns.

However, without a strong majority of dedicated conservatives in the House of Delegates to back them up, their ability to create new jobs, solve transportation problems and keep your taxes down will be limited. That’s why Virginia Eagle Forum PAC focuses on electing state legislators you can trust.

This year, your entire House of Delegates is up for election. The Republican margin in the House has shrunk to 56 - 44; and the number of true conservatives is far smaller than 56.

Our goal is to increase the number of reliable, pro-family patriots in the Virginia House of Delegates.

Then, Virginia’s new governor will have a far better chance to get needed reforms through the General Assembly.

You have some outstanding challengers on the scene in your state. One of the most exciting races is in District 46, where a truly awesome candidate, naturalized American citizen and community activist Sasha Gong, is campaigning full time. She’s enlisting many new volunteers.

Born in China, Sasha suffered imprisonment for joining a dissident movement, but later earned two degrees from Peking University. After coming to the U.S. in 1987, she won a full scholarship to Harvard, earned a Ph.D. in sociology, and has taught at ULCA, George Washington and George Mason Universities.

Your contribution can make a real difference for excellent newcomers like Sasha, as well as for long-time conservative leaders in the House who are targeted by the left. Virginia Eagle Forum PAC is now surveying the current House of Delegates candidates across the Commonwealth, to determine their position on a number of key issues, including those of fiscal responsibility, pro-family policies, and constitutional rights.

The leaders of Virginia Eagle Forum will study their responses very carefully, as well as the voting records of incumbents, to determine which incumbents and challengers are the most deserving of support.

Faithfully,
Phyllis Schlafly

P.S. If you lose control of the House of Delegates this year, Virginia will lose its chance for a strong economic recovery.
